One of the most famous names of Bordeaux, Hubert de Boüard has been a winegrower since 1956, is co-owner of the Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé “A” property, Château Angelus and consultant oenologist to many top estates not only in Bordeaux, but around the World.

Alongside the family properties of Angelus, La Fleur de Boüard in Lalande de Pomerol and Clos de Boüard in Montagne Saint-Emilion, Hubert de Boüard is now producing varietals labelled in his own name.

All the fruit comes from plots carefully selected for the excellence of their terroirs, where pruning has been especially adapted. Every plot is managed with the passage of the seasons in ways that aim to protect the surrounding eco-systems, until the decision is meticulously taken to pick the grapes at the best possible level of ripeness. They produce limited quantity of each wine, which will guarantee its authenticity. The expertise of a great estate owner is applied to produce these enjoyable wines.

Hubert de Bouard Rose is a dry fresh wine produced from 50% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and displays a light salmon pink colour, the nose is floral with notes of ripe cherry and strawberry. In the mouth there is a wonderful freshness layered with strawberry and raspberry fruits that carry on to the end of a long elegant finish. Perfectly partnering medium flavoured goats cheeses such as Crottin de Chavignol and light Asian dishes.
