Mont D’Or

Mont D'or season is back!

It's lighter fondue cheese that's ready made with very nice light mushrooms flavour. Best eaten after heating it up in oven with a splash (or two) of white wine into it.

Langres

If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly wash rind cheese, look no further than this distinctive disc-shaped cheese, Langres.

A wash rind cheese, made in the Champagne region of France, it is matured for at least 21 days and has the signature look of wash rind cheese - a moldy, wrinkly rind. On the inside, it is slightly soft and sticky.

It is milder than Epoisses, with smoky, savoury and tangy notes. The firm pate melts in the mouth, leaving a complex taste.

The indent in the middle of the cheese is known as "the fontaine" and apparently it was created for it to be filled with a drizzle of champagne.

Emmentaler

What cheese looks like the cheese emoji? ? Emmentaler!

Emmentaler is named for its place of origin, the Emme Valley. Its characteristic holes develop when bacteria in the cheese ferments, creating carbon dioxide bubbles trapped in the cheese.

The Cheese Man selected the Emmentaler Premier Cru. Aged for 14 months, it has stronger and shaper flavours.
