The Remeker is a farmstead raw milk cheese made from a single herd of Jersey cows. As Jersey milk contains more fats and proteins, this cheese is wonderfully buttery. The cheese is brined very briefly during the cheesemaking process, making it suitable for anyone looking for a low-sodium cheese.
At Remeker their ethos for the whole production chain is ‘natural’. Starting from the soil which is only enriched with fermented manure, their Jersey cows only feed on the grass and organic crushed grains. This is ultimately responsible for the taste of Remeker cheese.
