Old Klaver Kaas is a 1-year aged gouda made by the Klavers family, a third-generation cheese and dairy farmers in Winkel, North Holland. The milk comes from their own herd, grazing on pastures just a few kilometres from the cheese dairy. The farm's proximity to the North Sea and the freshwater IJsselmeer creates mineral-rich, salty clay soil that nurtures especially tender grass, and it's this natural terroir that gives their milk, and in turn Old Klaver Kaas, its pure, rich, creamy character.
Aged for just over a year, Old Klaver Kaas delivers a buttery flavour wrapped in a stunningly creamy texture.
