The Sour is one of the oldest cocktails around. The original sour cocktail recipe is based on a simple equilibrium; a sweet part (usually sugar syrup), a more bitter part given by lime or lemon juice and of course a distillate that gives character to the mix. This cocktail is a perfectly balanced mix of the sugar sweetness, the lemon sour and the dry taste of gin.
