Produced from 80% Colombard and 20% Muscat Petit Grains both from the Languedoc Roussillon region of Southern France. Traditional wine making for both with the Colombard being left to mature on the lees for over a month so as not to be overpowered by the Muscat.
The French Romance Colombard-Muscat is distinguished by its fresh nose with notes of pineapple, lychee and tropical fruits. The wine is fresh and crispy in the mouth with the dryness of the Colombard being lifted by a hint of sweetness from the muscat.
A great wine to drink as an aperitif or with medium spicy Asian dishes and of course a range of medium to full flavoured cheeses, especially Vintage Cheddar.
