Product Description

This deliciously creamy blue cheese hails from the mountain region of Savoie, where cow's milk is generally transformed into nutty, hard cheeses like a Beaufort. Milk is put to very good use for producing this cheese as it matures to become both soft and tender, rewarding the taster with a lovely tangy kick from the blue moulds. There is a lovely depth of flavour coming through that is not aggressive, and with a little maturing, the flavours will become more pronounced.

The Cheese Shop recommends pairing this cheese well with fuller red wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon or sweeter white wines such as Sauternes or Muscat.
