Wine description: Domaine du Grand Ormeau, located on the border of Pomerol and Lalande Pomerol and has been in the Garde family for 3 generations, each of which has had a hand in the development and growth of the property. In 2009 Yanick Reyrel, former Assistant Wine Maker of Chateau Petrus was brought on board to move the wines to the next level, and the results are now really starting to show. Produced from 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc & 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is medium to full bodied and displays rich aromas of ripe plums, cherries and raspberries. In the mouth ripe dark fruits and a great tannic structure with a lovely acidity and a long finish.
